Which platform we recommend, and when
Zapier for fast, simple, one-trigger-one-action flows. Best when you need it working today and your volume is low (under 10,000 tasks/month). Easiest to maintain.
Make.com for complex flows with branching, error handling, data transformations. Better cost-per-operation than Zapier at scale. Steeper learning curve.
n8n (self-hosted) for high volume, data-residency requirements, or no-monthly-fee economics. Most powerful and customisable. Requires hosting infrastructure (we host or you host).
Custom code when none of the above fits — usually for tight integrations with bespoke or legacy systems, or for performance-critical flows.
