What does FA Automation do?
We build practical AI automation systems for South African businesses — WhatsApp automation, AI chatbots, document and process automation, CRM automation, and vertical-specific automation like AI for estate agencies. We focus on implementation, not advisory: we build the working systems and hand them over live.
Where are you based?
Cape Town, South Africa. 20 Bloem Street, City Centre. We serve clients across South Africa and internationally, with team presence in South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany, and Greece.
Do you work with clients outside Cape Town and South Africa?
Yes. Most of our work is SA-focused because SA is our home market, but we have built and supported automations for clients across the Netherlands, Germany, and Greece as well. Projects are delivered remotely where it makes sense, with occasional in-person time for SA clients in Cape Town.
What industries do you serve?
We are sector-agnostic but see the strongest results in car hire, estate agencies, tourism and hospitality, insurance brokerages, professional services (accounting, legal, advisory), retail and e-commerce, and education providers. The common thread is high-volume repetitive customer or back-office interactions, not a specific industry.
How long does a project take?
Focused single-process automations go live in two to four weeks. Mid-sized multi-process projects take six to ten weeks. Enterprise-scale programs run twelve to twenty weeks. We ship narrow first projects that prove ROI before expanding, rather than running multi-month strategy engagements that do not ship anything.
Is everything you build POPIA-compliant?
Yes, by default. Every deployment includes explicit consent language in the first customer interaction, data storage in SA-region infrastructure or documented vetted processors, role-based access with audit logs, documented retention and deletion policies, and one-click data subject export or delete. POPIA is part of the architecture, not a disclaimer bolted on at the end.
What technology do you use?
We are pragmatic about tooling. Typical stack components include the WhatsApp Business API via a local or international BSP, language models from Anthropic and OpenAI, n8n for workflow orchestration, Make or Zapier for lightweight integrations, Cloudflare for hosting, and direct API integrations with CRMs (HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, Salesforce) and accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks). Our comparison of the common tool options explains when we pick what.
Can you integrate with our existing systems?
Almost always. If your systems have an API, we can connect to them. The systems we have shipped integrations with include HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Monday, Xero, Sage (Pastel, Accounting, Evolution), QuickBooks, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, Property24 CRM, Entegral, and PayProp. If we have not worked with yours before, we typically scope the integration in one technical call.
Do you offer ongoing support?
Yes, optionally. Many clients are self-sufficient after launch and manage their automations in-house. For teams that want continuous tuning, new flows added as they come up, and priority response, we offer a monthly support arrangement. We do not require a retainer — each client picks.
